VCSE organisations play an important part in delivering and supporting local services. Where important decisions are made about these services, the sector needs to ensure that its voice is heard.

We ensure that the needs and thoughts of the VCSE sector are represented and that information about consultations which could have an impact on the sector and the people it serves are made available to voluntary organisations.

Current consultations:

Pubic Consultation on local funding for police in North Yorkshire (deadline: 11 Jan 2017)

Consultation on new mental health hospital in the Vale of York (deadline: 16 Jan 2017)

North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board (NYSCB) is undertaking aSafeguarding Children Workforce Survey(deadline: 5 Feb 2017)

The Care Quality Commission opens Formal Consultation on next stage of it's regulation (deadline: 14 Feb 2017)

Confidence Survey

The Forum undertakes valuable research in it's 6 monthly Confidence Survey - a vital way to assess expectations within the voluntary sector over the next 6 and 12 months.  The survey will continue to build on the results from the previous surveys carried out by Involve Yorkshire & Humber.

We will use the survey to produce a brief report each half year which will be available below and circulated among our members and partners. We will share findings with regional/national agencies to ensure that they are aware of short and longer term VCS confidence and take account of this in planning and decision making.
