are looking for volunteer trustees to help lead our Charity. Could that be you?

Do you want to get involved in running an influential and important local charity?

Citizens Advice York provides advice to local residents on virtually any issue, but the majority of people ask us about debt, employment, benefits and family problems.  

We are looking for volunteers to join our Trustee Board to lead our charity, help us develop our services for the local people who need them and secure the vital resources we need to go forward.

Can you give time and commitment to help support our charity?

We are keen to have a diverse board that reflects the local community in York and we welcome applications from all members of the community from different backgrounds.

Knowledge or experience of Citizens Advice is not essential.We are looking for

people with a wide variety of skills and a diversity of experiences. We are particularly keen to increase the Board’s skills in the areas of marketing, fundraising, HR, operations management and the voluntary sector.

The Board has six full meetings a year, and some smaller committee meetings, to look at what has been done in the last months and to plan for the future.
