VCS Representation
The Forum works with partners to ensure that the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in York and North Yorkshire are involved in strategic and operational decision making on a broad range of issues through representation on the North Yorkshire Strategic Partnership (NSYP).The North Yorkshire Strategic Partnership brings together partners from public, private and voluntary sector to promote the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of North Yorkshire's communities. This is supported by the development of the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) and the delivery of the Local Area Agreement (LAA).
The Sustainable Community Strategy and the second Local Area Agreement (LAA) for North Yorkshire were launched in July 2008.
