There are three ‘levels’ of support for voluntary and community organisations in York and North Yorkshire, provided by:
Whilst each of these provides support for the voluntary and community sector, they have differing roles. All the local infrastructure organisations listed below are working together as the York and North Yorkshire Infrastructure Consortium.
- Your ‘Local Support and Development Organisations’ (LSDOs*), which has a base in your local area
- North Yorkshire and York Forum (NYYF), which provides support for LIOs and some specialist services across York and North Yorkshire
- Rural Action Yorkshire (RAY), which is a rural specialist agency operating across West and South Yorkshire as well as North Yorkshire.
