Know Discrimination.
Help your clients to fight it.
FREE awareness raising training for VCOs providing information and support in North Yorkshire. Are you supporting or advising individuals? Would you be able to identify if they had been a victim of discrimination? And if so, what would you do next? The Forum, in partnership with Advice North Yorkshire, is delivering half day training sessions around the county that are available free to local VCOs thanks to funding from the EHRC (Equalities and Human Rights Commission). Dates are listed below. The session will:
• promote awareness, understanding and protection of human rights
• describe what discrimination is, how it feels to be discriminated against, and why it is important to be aware of possible discrimination
• give an overview of the Equality Act 2010 from the individuals perspective.

Participants will be provided with a toolkit so they can cascade the training to colleagues within their own organisation.
